The Enchanted Forest Workshop Series is a pilot project inviting community members to contribute to the Enchanted Forest at lee Tartt Nature Preserve on Nov 2, 2024.

The ENCHANTED FOREST is an immersive art installation at Lee Tartt Nature Preserve celebrating creativity, curiosity and nature.

This collaborative project connects professional artists with community members through a series of creative workshops.  These events for all ages are designed to inspire participants to interact with nature,  offering Mississippi flora and fauna as a way to launch the imagination for the fabrication of artworks throughout the summer and fall of 2024. The creations made by community members during workshops and by professional artists will be curated and installed by a team of artists and skilled volunteers along the trails at Lee Tartt Nature Preserve. The Enchanted Forest Trails lead participants from the Main Event through the Chakchiuma Swamp bottom filled with big, gnarly cypress trees into a bottomland forest which opens into a meadow of native grasses and a view of the starry sky

Workshops Series include:paper fishing mushroom lanterns, tree oracle faces, owl feathers and more! Stay tuned for details on future workshops in September and October
