ENCHANTED FOREST TRAILS glowing with colored lights featuring whimsical delights, hidden treasures, fantastic beasts and mysteries of the swamp created by a collaboration of artists and community members during workshops conducted in the summer and fall of 2024.
The GREEN DRAGON APOTHECARY - seating around a big fire pit, sweetshop & weenie roasting and s'more kits, magic tool kits, selfie stations, mysterious curiosities, creative activities
WORKSHOPS
This creative placemaking project invites people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate native Mississippi wildlife and our collective imagination through a series of public workshops to create the”magic and enchantment” for the main event!
FREE* Workshops will happen in Grenada, Greenwood, Cleveland & Winona and will be led by professional Mississippi Artists.
Creations made during the workshops will be curated into the ENCHANTED FOREST for the Nov 2 event and will be returned to their makers the week after the event.
WORKSHOPS INCLUDE: mushroom people, big paper lantern fish & bubble faces. dragon eggs, swamp Sasquatch & other twig beings, giant flower fairies & more!
This handmade event makes a conscious effort to utilize materials from natural resources and attempts to avoid plastics and other materials not good for the environment.
