Sally has been an artist in residence at Lee Tartt Nature Preserve from 2020 - 2022. During her time in the swamp she recorded ambient sounds , explored on foot and by boat, listened at all times of day and I every season. She researched critters, collected pigments, and filled her journals with ideas and poetry. With help from Merriam Shoals Recording Studio and a host of musicians the album is ready to be shared along with a companion book carefully crafted and curated by Sally herself.
