Our friend & naturalist Jason Hoeksema, Director of Delta Windbirds, will guide our group as we explore & forage the mysterious world of fungi found in the woodland area at Lee Tartt Nature Preserve.

Be sure to bring a bag or basket to collect your treasure. We will present a cooking demo of the sample of edible mushrooms found.

Want to join in on the fun? Guests are encouraged to set up your own camp stove if you have one and a frying pan to sauté alongside our demo, and taste your own forage.

Be sure to bring your own sack lunch, bug spray, sunscreen & comfortable closed toe shoes.

Some plates & cutlery will be provided, but feel free to bring along your reusable plates & utensils for sampling.
